I was very impressed by Jack Williams Wednesdays Child and read more on the teen online. I wanna commend Jack on doing the segment for many years. He is doing a wonderful service and deserves nothing but high praise. When so many in braodcasting are nothing but self loathing "pretty boys" who are on the air for fame and glory Jack seems to give of himself for those less fortunate. I am a single man and am not for many reasons able to be a foster parent but I will pray for that young man "David", for Jack Williams and for the many kids he has helped and continues to help. He is doing the work of a saint and one day the Almighty will handsomely reward him for his good works. He indeed is "paying it forward". Keep up the great work!

Hi Jack,

My name is Sandra Smith. My husband and I live on the South Shore. We are both foster parents. We have 3 great girl's. We have always wanted children. We haven't had any luck. The girls are great and we wouldn't give them up for anything. We are missing one thing though. We really want to give a child/baby with Down's a loving home. I have looked all over the web and most children with Down's are not in the US. We don't have the money to travel out of the country to adopt. As a child I took care of adults and children that were mentally disabled. I loved it! I knew from a young age of 13 that's what I wanted to do. That same babysitting job was where I met Peter. Peter was a little boy with Down's. He was the most lovable boy. I still wonder how he is and hope he is well. After getting married at 23 I did what's called Specialized home care. I cared for adult's that were mentally disabled in my home. Loved it! Did that for years. From there I got into foster care. That leaves me to where I am now. I'm sure you are wondering why I am writing you. I have looked at your site and I didn't see any children with Down's. Do you know of any Down's children/babies that need a home? If you do could you please write me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this e-mail,
Sandra Smith
Looking and hoping

Happy 30th anniversary Jack!
You have been an incredible voice on television for the past 30 years. I am
36 years old and I can remember you since I was a little girl. Now my little
girl watches you! Thank you for your wonderful work with Wednesday's child. I
worked at the Department of Social services as a social worker for 12 years
until I quit to stay home with my two children (one of whom is named Jack)
The work you do for these children is amazing.
Keep up the great work. Channel 4 is the ONLY news I will watch!

Hi, again Jack. We continue to enjoy the celebration and look back at your 30
years on air. I was just 7 at the time I started watching the news and
reading the news a lot-now, I am 37 and still watching you on CBS 4,as well
as Bob-good ole Lobel, Barry, Dan, etc. I am so glad to see the new boss has
kept many of the veterans like you, Liz, Barry, Dan, etc. I was so worried he
would come in and turn everything upside down. Thank goodness for anchors
like you and here is to another 30 years Jack-happy birthday to your
wife-have a great summer-thanks for 30 great years and all the great work
you do-Carrie Hannula and family

Hi Jack,

I just want to write a quick note of congratulations on your 'BZ anniversary
- boy are you really old! Ha! Seriously, it made me think how lucky I was
to have worked with you for 12 years. I learned a lot from you about a lot
of things, not just TV News and you were always good to me. I'm proud to
call you my friend always.

Best to you & your family,

Reebie!
