Il Capriccio
Dinner Raised $75,000 for Wednesday's Child

For the 7th year, three good friends of Wednesday's
Child paid for the costs of the dinner so Wednesday's Children
could be the recipients of the donations. John Collins, Rick Curtin
and Joe Dempsey have contributed thousands over the past seven
years at the yearly dinner at Il Capriccio in Waltham, one of
Boston's top rated restaurants. Chef Richie Barron and Sommelier
Jeannie Rogers go all out providing a unique menu and fabulous
wines from Italy. Many of those on hand on that Monday night (September
25th) have been to all seven dinners, paying $1,000 a couple.
Bank of America also gave $25,000 and an anonymous donor gave
another %25,000 (one-thousand for every year of Wednesday's Child).
Fun, fun, fun! Thanks to all the generous people. As host Rick
Curtin told the crowd: "It is a pleasure to gather with friends,
have good food and wine and help these special needs children.
Wednesday's Child is a great gift to our community. |
