Dear Mr.Williams,
I attended the dinner last night for the Dianne DeVanna Center for the
Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. I believe you said that Wednesday's
Child has aided in placing more than 500 kids in homes since the foundation
began. Ooh, but you have accomplished so much more! You see, my husband
and
I have watched and read about Wednesday's Child for years. We looked
into adoption through DSS. We were not matched with a Wednesday's Child
but we are working on adopting a wonderful 9 1/2 year who has been with
us for a year. She has a past for which we cannot change. But a very,
very bright future! It is incredible to watch this little girl blossoming
after being with us for a year. I am sure that we are not the only people
who have looked into adopting because you have kept reminding us of
the need. You did
a wonderful job last night and you and your wife are wonderful people
for continuing efforts for the children in need of homes and families.
The DeVanna Center Gala was a huge success. Thank you for helping it
to be so successful.
