Letters & Follow Up
| Mr. Williams, This has nothing to do with the incredible work you do with Wednesday's child, however I did want to contact you in regards to an interview you did with my son, Michael. It was prior to Game #1 of the ALDS, we managed to secure a videotape of it and it's great. I have watched you, as I told you for some 20 plus years and seen the great work you have done, especially with children, but to see you interact with my own son was something very special, you certainly have a way with children, something that is very genuine and honest, and I think rare these days. Anyways, I just wanted to express my sincere thanks for being so nice to Michael. Apparently Bill Shields is doing a "live remote" from my buddy Leo Wilson's house ("The Dugout") Friday night and invited us over, so maybe Michael makes it on again. One more thing, after everything, the interview, Michael getting a ball from one the Angels, the great game, he turned to me on the way home and said: "Dad this is the greatest night of my life" ….Wow. You were part of that, and I thank you. It made it one of the greatest nights of my life also. Jim Tully Brockton |
