Dear Jack,
I never thought that I would be writing to you but here I am.
I have been watching WBZ TV it seems forever. I go back before
the days of Suzanne Bates and Shelby Scott. I have been watching
you broadcast the evening news for many years. You remind me a
lot of my own father. Your smile, laughter and mannerisms, are
so like his; somehow I feel a connection. Hope you don't mind.
To get to the point of why I am writing to you: I love all that
you do for Wednesday's Child.
You see, I, myself, was adopted, so I can see in these children's'
faces the wanting of a family. I was adopted at age 12 into a
wonderful family.
But last year, a real miracle happened. I started searching for
my family because of health reasons. I discovered that my real
parents, a brother and a sister had all passed on. I was just
devastated. Feeling sad and disheartened I got some really wonderful
news.
I had another sister!! Same mother, different fathers. Neither
one of us knew that the other even existed. How exciting.
Well we met in person for the first time in April 2007. It was
liked we never missed a beat; never mind 50 years. I just had
to write to you and share with you that in life, miracles do happen.
You Jack do perform miracles like my own every year with all
the adorable and loving kids that you help!
You are special! Thank you for letting me tell you my story.
Adoption is a wonderful thing and who can tell where it can lead
Sincerely,
Lynn Ploulx
PS. Say hello to Marci for me!
