PATTY - She is an amazing story. When I first met her, she had absolutely nothing in the world but the clothing on her back. She had been treated terribly and had been house-bound much of the time. What she did have though was a deep faith in God. She was adopted by a wonderful couple who gave her all that she had never had before, including a loving, extended family. Her confidence and grades grew and the highlight was when she sang the national anthem at the Red Sox game at Fenway Park. She was dressed beautifully and looked like a movie star. If only people understood how far she had come in such a short time.
